Privacy policy
This policy covers the Dreaming Cloud Production Films website and Recording in Session, our music submission service. Both are run by Jomario Goddard, trading as Dreaming Cloud Production, Bridgetown, Barbados. Questions: dreamingcloudfilms@gmail.com. Music submissions go to sessionsbydreamingcloud@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you email us or submit music to Recording in Session, we receive what you send:
- your name and email address
- your audio files, photos or videos
- any details you include, such as artist name, song title, credits, social links and bio
When you send a quotation, shoot booking or studio booking form, we receive your name, email, WhatsApp or phone number and the details you write. These forms are processed by our website host, Netlify. We use them only to reply to you and arrange your job or session.
This website does not use its own cookies or analytics. Embedded YouTube videos are served by YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you play them.
How we use it
We use your submission only to make your Recording in Session video, send it back to you, and publish it on the Recording in Session YouTube channel and other Dreaming Cloud pages. We use your email to reply to you about your submission. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Google account access
Recording in Session uses Google sign-in only for our own Google account. It reads and labels messages in our submissions inbox (Gmail), stores files in our own Google Drive, and uploads videos to our own YouTube channel. It never asks for access to your Google account.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Videos are uploaded through YouTube API Services; by having your video posted you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep files in our Google Drive and production computer for as long as we need them to run the service. To have your video taken down or your files deleted, email us and we will remove them.
Your rights to the music
By submitting, you confirm you own or control the rights to the music and images you send, and you allow us to publish the video we make from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
